OBSERVANCE OF SURGICAL STRIKE DAY 29.09.2018
“Soldier fights not
because of what is in front of him, he fights because what is behind him.”
On 29th September 2018, vidyalaya
celebrated “Surgical Strike Day”. This was to commemorate the valour and
the hardwork of our nation’s soldiers and army. The chief guests were Shri Major Arun Gandhi,
Subedar Major Resham Bahadur Gurang, Lance Nayak Rajkumar and Rifleman Sachin
Sai, from Officer’s Training Academy,Chennai. They were honoured by the school colour
party team headed by Mr.Aravamuthan, TGT (Maths) , followed by the welcome address by Mrs.S.Shanthi,
PGT (Eco).
Khushi of class 9-B presented a wonderful speech on the brave
hearts of our nation. This was followed by a patriotic group song by the students.
Bishwanath Mishra of class 6-B also presented a soulful song for
the Jawans of our nation. After the brief cultural session, the Jawans were
felicitated by greeting cards made by the little wonders of our school. One
hundred and Fifty Greeting cards were handed over to the Chief Guest. Few

Then Mrs.Chitra Mukundan, Principal highlighted the sacrifices
made by the Jawans of our nation. Then, the Chief Guest , Major Arun
Gandhi highlighted about being
grateful and to value everything in one’s life. His words sparked a feeling of
motivation in every child’s heart. The vote of thanks was proposed by Mrs.A.Jyoti , PGT (Eng)
This program was celebrated to kindle
patriotism among the students and to let them know the tireless efforts made by
the jawans of our nation.
