REGIONAL LEVEL FOOTBALL MEET

Our school organized Regional Football meet for U-14 /U-17 boys on 26-04-2019 and 27-04-2019. Our chief guest is Honorable Assistant Commissioner, Mr.Johnson Mathew, KVS, RO, Chennai

 Various committees are framed to organize meet in a grand manner. All the committees were fully engaged with their duties and responsibilities along with their daily routine work. 
4 Cluster teams from Chennai Region namely Avadi, Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai were framed for the Regional Sports Meet.  League basis is followed to conduct the tournaments for both the age categories. Based on  the performance  of the players, the winning team in the Regional Football Meet will be participating in 50th  KVS National Meet to be held at  Deharadun Region.

46TH ANNUAL DAY

                                46TH ANNUAL DAY


On 23rd April 2019, Kendriya Vidyalaya minambakkam organized its 46th annual day about 8:45 the chief guest of the occasion Mr Chandra Kumar, GM, F&A, Airports Authority of India, arrived at the venue which was our school.
Beginning with flag hoisting the welcoming of the guests of honour, Mr.Chandra Kumar, Mr S.Aravamuthan, Mrs.Susan Santhosh, Principal Madam Chitra Mukundan, Vice principal Smt. Bensi Sam by the coordinator Mrs.Jyoti, the cultural programs started.

The cultural programs were the highlight of the entire show and was executed grandly by the highly talented students of the school, from the little ones of class 1 to the senior-most of class 12.the programs altogether lasted for about a couple of hours, two hours of unsaturated entertainment for the massive audience that had gathered and the chief guests as well. Starting off with a welcome dance by the tiny tots, the day proceeded with various other marvelous programs. The Kannada dance which highlighted the traditional way of conserving water enthralled everyone present while also making them ponder over how important conserving water was in today’s world. The next show put up by the little ones was a dance drama based on one of the two epics of India, Ramayana. The Students from the senior section showed their immense skills in drama through an informative skit about developments in the education system, it was a source for reviving the memories of school days for the audience. The Last and final program was the one that made the audience stand up and ovate for the show put up by the senior secondary students who proved their talent in the art of dancing.
After the successful cultural programs, it was the time when the student achievers were honoured for their excellence in academics. The subject toppers and school toppers from class 12th and class 10th as well were awarded for their achievement with mementos.

The chief guest shared his experience and thoughts about the Annual Day and then, the Program was concluded with national anthem and Loads of Appreciation. “ Truly Entertaining” were the kinds of things you could hear from the audience side!

CLUSTER LEVEL FOOTBALL MEET

CLUSTER LEVEL FOOTBALL MEET

Kendriya Vidyalaya Minambakkam organised the Chennai cluster football meet for the year 2019 from 11th to 12th April 2019 for under 17 boys. category 7 teams of Chennai cluster school participated in this meet. Altogether 105 students with 14 escorts participated in this programme. The matches were conducted on a knockout basis. U-17 category the winning Vidyalaya team shall represent the regional meet on to be conducted from 26.4.2019 and 27.4.2019. 
The winners were KV no 1 Tambaram and the KV Minambakkam
