SPORTS DAY CELEBRATIONS

Sports activities in  school are very important as they develop the physical growth and they also develop strong stamina and will power in students .

This year sports day was celebrated  on 11^th  Jan 2018 . It started  day with lightning lamp and welcome address by the Principal. Then the sports torch  was lighted and was handed over to

KVS National Players . The National level players took a round of sports ground with a torch . After that 9^th and 11^th students began the Marchpast according to their houses . The Chief guest Shri.SREEKUMAR, REGIONAL EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, AAI , Chairman VMC   took the salute.

The program continued with a colourful drill presented by primary students .The dance focassing on integrity was performed by the secondary students .To make our mind fresh and to be fit ,yoga was demonstrated by students of class 6 to 8 .Many athletic events were conducted and prizes were distributed to the winners

The Programme came to an end with Vote of thanks by Mr. Shankar Subhramaniyam, PGT Comm  and National Anthem . It has been a very good opportunity to find out the talents.

KVS FOUNDATION DAY CELEBRATION 2017

THE LEGACY OF KVS

The red letter day of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan that is the KVS Foundation day was celebrated in a grand manner by the students, teachers and the staff members in the valuable presence of chief guests. Along with this auspicious occasion students who excelled in their broad exams were also honoured.

The Chief guest Sri.S.Sreekumar , Regional Executive Director , Airport Authority of India was welcomed by Mrs.Chitra Mukundan , Principal. The primary students exhibited their talents of modern and traditional dancing skills. Followed by the dance performances two group discussions were held which was based on the history, achievements and specialty of the kvs and a quiz competition was also conducted on this basis wherein the students enthusiastically answered all the questions. The icing on the cake was a mesmerizing dance performance highlighting diverse culture of our nation. A song was composed and sung by the students in the praise of KVS.

 Finally the students of class X and XII who excelled in their Board exam 2017  were awarded their merit certificate and cash award of Rs.5000 given by KVS HQ. 

All of us fell proud of being a part of kvs, the chief guest mentioned in his address “I WISH I COULD HAVE BEEN A STUDENT OF A PRESTIGIOUS INSTITUTION LIKE KVS”. The deputy school pupil leader enthusiastically stated “ I AM PROUD TO BE A PART OF KVS AND THE PERFOMANCES WERE COMMENDABLE AND HOPE THAT IT WOULD CONTINUE TO FLURISH IN THE FUTURE”.

 

 

Training Programme for Swasth Bachhe – Swasth Bharat

With reference to the letter no F.170355/NSM/2017-KVS(CHER) Dated 24/11/2017, Vidyalaya level training Physical, Health and Fitness programme was conducted for the staffs ,HM and Principal from 27/11/2017 to 30/11/2017. A brief seminar was conducted by the Mrs.Amuthambihai , TGT P & HE about the various activities and about the usage of fitness instruments. All the staff involved with full zeal and enthusiasm. Every body participated with full sportsman spirit . They remembered their childhood memories of participating in physical activities.
