46TH ANNUAL DAY
On 23rd April 2019, Kendriya Vidyalaya minambakkam organized its 46th annual day about 8:45 the chief guest of the occasion Mr
Chandra Kumar, GM, F&A, Airports Authority of India, arrived at the venue
which was our school.
Beginning
with flag hoisting the welcoming of the guests of honour, Mr.Chandra Kumar, Mr
S.Aravamuthan, Mrs.Susan Santhosh, Principal Madam Chitra Mukundan, Vice
principal Smt. Bensi Sam by the coordinator Mrs.Jyoti, the cultural programs
started.
The
cultural programs were the highlight of the entire show and was executed
grandly by the highly talented students of the school, from the little ones of
class 1 to the senior-most of class 12.the programs altogether lasted for about a couple of hours, two hours of unsaturated entertainment for the massive
audience that had gathered and the chief guests as well. Starting off with a
welcome dance by the tiny tots, the day
proceeded with various other marvelous programs. The Kannada dance which highlighted the traditional way
of conserving water enthralled everyone present while also making them ponder
over how important conserving water was in today’s world. The next show put up
by the little ones was a dance drama based on one of the two epics of India,
Ramayana. The Students from the senior section showed their immense skills in
drama through an informative skit about developments in the education system, it
was a source for reviving the memories of school days for the audience. The
Last and final program was the one that made the audience stand up and ovate
for the show put up by the senior secondary students who proved their talent in
the art of dancing.
After
the successful cultural programs, it was the time when the student achievers
were honoured for their excellence in academics. The subject toppers and school
toppers from class 12th and class 10th as well were awarded for their
achievement with mementos.
The
chief guest shared his experience and thoughts about the Annual Day and then,
the Program was concluded with national anthem and Loads of Appreciation. “
Truly Entertaining” were the kinds of things you could hear from the audience
side!
