CYBER SECURITY AWARENESS PROGRAMME WAS CONDUCTED ON 19.11.2016  BY THE STUDENTS OF UNIVERSITY OF MADRAS.

GERMAN STUDENTS WEEK CELEBRATION

Goethe Institut conducted “ Goethe Super League 2016” – Interschool Football Competition in YMCA Ground, Nandanam , Chennai in connection with “German students Week Celebration “ from 09.11.2016 to 13.11.2016. Our Girls and Boys participated in the Football Competition and the Boys Team Won the First Prize in Football Match .Our German students  also secured third position in "German Exhibition" conducted at Goethe Institut.

400 students participated in the "Walk@thon" on 13.11.2016 conducted by the Goethe Institut in Connection with "German Students Week". Children actively participated in the event and walked to and fro from Light house to Kannagi Statue (4 kms)

Awakened Citizen Program

Awakened Citizen Program for class VII A,B,C  conducted  on 16.11.2016 in the Vidyalaya’s A.V.Room. It  is  a  16- session program  .Our school teachers Mrs.Usha Ramachandran   TGT Skt, Mrs.M.S.Rajalakshmi    TGT Maths and Mrs.Prabha  TGT Eng  have been  trained by the Ramakrishna Mission , Chennai.

NATIONAL EDUCATION DAY

NATIONAL EDUCATION DAY 11.11.16

The Vidyalaya observed the National Education Day in its premises on 11^th November, 2016. The day commenced with a thematic Assembly programme focusing on the significance of the day. The programme was presented by students of class XI C (Commerce). Digitalization and innovation in Education was theme of the Special item – a group discussion. Later, students enthusiastically participated in a rally holding placards and shouting slogans. Continuing the spirit the students of class XI presented a  symposium on various aspects of Education where in information on Sh. Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, thought provoking quotes of eminent educationists,  different Education boards in India, learning methodologies and e-learning were provided to the audience.  A paper presentation on the issues that riddle our Education system and the progress our country has made since its independence was also one of the items presented as a part of the awareness programme.
